when my truck was stock other than exhaust it ran worse on 87 than 89. it ran even better on 93. i am basing this off of mileage i got from the math i did and from the audible knock from the engine. 87 under wot made the truck sound like ****. 89 wasn't as bad but 93 gave me no engine noise from the valve train or where ever other. i'm not saying performance was better, just the engine seemed to run smoother and quieter with higher octane fuel. yes i did notice better mileage as well.

Used to run Sunoco 94 octane but they stopped carring that here. Now I use Citgo or Shell 93. NEver ran anything but 93+ since i had it.

TOO BAD WE DONT EVEN HAVE 93 IN VA BEACH RIGHT NOW... i HAD TO FILL UP WITH 87 AND PUT 2 BOTTLES OF 7$ OCTANE BOOST IN IT... THAT SUCKED...
