Default Synthetic oil???

Are any of you guys who are using the homemade catch can using synthetic oils??? I just finnished reading the how-to on the govettego thread and the guy said that the plastic bowl on the filter recommends not using a synthetic oil. Just wondering if anyone is and if they are having any problems. Thanks!!!!

im using synthetic oils and i dont have a problem with it. i think that a plastic bowl might give way over time do to heat and the acidity of the oil when it is hot.

Yeah I was thinking the heat might screw with the plastic too. I may look into finding a similar filter with a glass bowl or something. BTW what synthetic oil are you using??

Speaking of synthetic oil I have heard by going to a full synthetic that it actually gains a couple of hp by just going to a different oil. I believe the "purple" oil company guarantees some tenths. I read that in summit or jegs not sure. Sorry im
