Tachometer is wrong?

On my stock 4.8 the 1-2 shift would happen at 5600 rpm during WOT at around 50mph. On my current set up, it hits 6000 rpm at 40mph during WOT, that is why I think my tach might be off, unless the cam and engine swap caused the rpm to change in relatation to the speed I am going...I did not change my rear gears. At 70mph I now hit 2500rpm in OD while cruising, I dont remember it being that high before. Could the computer be interpreting my RPM wrong based on something else that might have been programed in during the tune?

Thats what you need a crank relearn for and make sure whoever is tuning it has everything right in there. Without the crank relearn your rpms can be scewy since the computer doesnt know the position of the reluctor ring to accurately gauge crank rpm.
Jim those kind of pods really dont block your view you can see the cluster pretty well, the only other choice you have is to get the a-pilar or socal diesel pod.
