Default TB port & polish...?

Im thinking of porting and polishing the trottle body since its one of the cheapest mods around and I dont have too much money right now How much do you guys think I would gain (HP and ET)? How many of you guys have done it and were satisfied with the outcome? In other words should I do it or am I wasting my money?

if you already have the dremmel tool and the heads for it go ahead and do it. you won't be losing anything. i did mine. i really don't think it gave me any hp or tq but i can at least say it is done. to be honost, it didn't take that long to accomplish. i worked on it twice. once to knock most of the ridge out then the second time was used to enlarge it more and smooth it out.

I was thinkin about doing this sometime this or next weekend depending on when we do the cam. Does anyone have a "how to" link with some pics and guidelines? I think it might be worth some power on my setup. Besides, it needs to be cleaned

Did you feel any SOTP gains. I heard it gives better throttle response? Maybe better fuel economy. You can never get too much fuel economy

BTW my mods are FIPK2, true duals w/ x-pipe and hptuners if that helps

no problem man. i didn't feel any sotp. mine isn't ported as extensively as the one in the link. however it is hard to feel anything once you have 4.10 gears. here lately the only sotp gain i have felt is the cam and i don't feel that till around 4000 rpm. my mpg has stayed relatively close to stock levels even with gears. i'll have to check to see how close but i am sure i am not going down hill on it.
