Default TBSS Intake,243 Heads, and NOS?

ok Ive been doing research on the TBSS and what Ive read ive seen guys saying they are getting around 15-20hp and better throttle response. Ive read the various threads and the stickies about doing this swap, I just have a couple questions. My truck is in my signature, its non flex fuel, 862 heads, fly by wire, and I have stock injectors which I need to change anyway (DC is maxed out). Also know I need to get a corvette fuel filter.

1. I was thinking about getting 243 heads. Would they be a good combo with the TBSS intake or should I keep the 862 heads?

2. Since I need injectors which ones should I get that fit the TBSS rails WITHOUT having to get spacers or harness pigtail adapters?

3. Does the stock TBSS Throttle Body have the same harness connector as the stock truck 78mm one?(not a problem if it doesnt, ill get an adapter) If I do this mod Ill get the stock TBSS throttle body

4. What is this "X link" ive seen mentioned? Only seen it mentioned, havent seen anything about what it is or does.

5. Is there a specific year and engine size that I should try to get the TBSS from?

6. Unless I'm forgetting anything else, would the TBSS intake with 862 or 243 heads and the mods I already have be a good combo to throw a NOS kit on? I only ask because I have a buddy I work with that has a couple kits (not sure of what shot they are) and he will give one to me if i want it. If what I mentioned would be a good combo with NOS I would get a throttle body spacer with the NOS connections.

So, not trying to beat a dead horse but what do ya'll think?

Well if this is on a 5.3 you would lose some compression right off the bat because the 243's cc size is 64.45cc and your 862's are 61.15cc. Yes the 243's definitely flow better but I'd mill them down so you don't knock your compression ratio down.

yes on a 5.3. well if i hooked up NOS wouldnt i want it to have lower compression? and if i didnt hook up NOS then yes I would mill them down to keep the 9.5:1 ratio.

Well actually say with a .030 mill on the 243's and the stock GM head gaskets would pretty much just bring them back close to what the combustion chamber size is on the 862 heads. Would roughly take the 243 heads down to around 60cc. Now that's a rough figure but it'd be close to that and the 862 has a combustion chamber size of 61.15cc.

Now as far as nitrous and "higher" compression goes they aren't a mismatch like say for example higher boost levels and high compression can be. Their are plenty of high compression setups out there spraying fairly big shots actually.
