alright basically my question now is...if i throw the intake on...will it bog down my truck as if it were allowing too much air or will it be okay? to be honest i think i'm gonna do it either way but just want to know what i'm in for..and which gaskets are best to use for the intake manifold the rubber/silicone ones or what thanks guys

if it were me id have it ported first.Cory at LS2Portworks has done quite a few for the tbss guys and the gains have been real good.I posted about this before but nobody gave a **** i guess.http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23623
But i do plan on putting a ported tbss intake on my 5.3.
i would also think about putting a nice cam in if your swaping intakes

thanks andrew...i would imagine that porting would not help in a 4.8 though? if i'm worried about too much air at stock form porting would only increase the air flow...either way i would imagine that if people can put the ls6 intakes & such on a 4.8/5.3 the TBSS intake shouldn't be a problem...and as far as a cam is concerned i would LOVE to put a cam in the truck funds just don't allow for it as of right now...the intake i can pick up for ~ 100$ + gaskets & i'll have it on in a few hours
EDIT: http://www.ls2portworks.com/
apparently LS2 Portworks has closed their doors?
