tbss intake vs nnbs intake on a 05 lq4

Default tbss intake vs nnbs intake on a 05 lq4

im getting mixed info on the two intakes. do they flow about the same just one has a bigger tb? i was thinking of doing a tbss intake setup but i hear a nnbs will give me the same gains on my 05 2500 crew cab. any info would be great

They are the same, iirc they both come stock with the 87mm throttle body and you will need an X-link for the throttle control

not quite the same.... nnbs has a few differences as far as some of the ports go, like pcv on top for example...

flow would be same I'd imagine.

What are you doing for MAF, I'm doing this same swap, along with ported 243 heads and changing my hot cam for something bigger, I don't see the point in doing this swap and still breathing through a small MAF will the bigger one plug in do you need an adapter

I'm just using the stock maf... I honestly don't see it as being that restrictive at this point, but you could go to a lingenfelter 100mm if you were really concerned about it and your pockets were a bit deeper.
