Question TC Install

OK, going to install the TT3000 this Fri after work! I need to know if I have everything I need before I get started and have some questions.

Trans jack
Jack Stands
Lots of Extentions
ATF
Kinda went blank! Is there anything else?

Question about the ATF. I am going to buy a case of what ever I decide, but what brand should I go with?

How should I brake this thing in?

Thanks! Any useful tips will greatly help too!

Looks like you got everything to me ...

When you get it all back together, start it, and kill it immediatly after it fires. refill tranny. Do that a couple of times. That converter holds A LOT of fluid.

Here's something that will save you a wtf. The top most nut is a 13mm unlike the other 2 which 14mm. Underneath these are the 15mm studs. These nuts hold brackets for wiring, lines, and the breather tubes.

Dropping the tranny isn't too hard. It'll be much easy to manuever if you have a 2wd.

Well, I'm off to clean up. Gonna put her back together then wait impatiently for the 500 mile break in period.

Let me know if you all were able to get your tranny pan drain plug out. Mine's not budging. The pans bolts themselves were too easy.

f#$K that 500mile break in, one trip around the block, make sure it is full of fluid, THEN PUT THE HAMMER DOWN!!

sounds like you have it under control, for me the hardest thing of the whole project is checking the tranny fluid, i have a hard time reading that stick.

Hehe, well I'll get half of it Monday morning with a 200 mile round trip for work. Hope I make it there.

oh yeah, forgot about that, i got mine off by first striping it, then beating a 14mm 6point socket on to what was left and got lucky.

wait a sec, if your just doing the converter you dont have to pull the plug.
