Do the Z71's come with a factory tranny cooler I should have look when I put my billet grill in. If so if i get an aftermarket cooler will it just plug in to the factory lines. What is the highest recommended temp to let the tranny get up to. Some say 185 others say 200 whille others say 215. What would you all recommend? Sorry bout all the questions but I just spent 3 grand on my tranny and would really like to not mess it up.

Have you called TCI and asked them the towing capacity of the converter? With their smaller dia than Yanks 3000 stall, I would say it's in the 4k # max range.

Love it. Took all the lag out of the bottom end of the powerband. Its funny to see the look on mustang and f-body drivers when Im hanging next em till 2nd gear it kind of surprises them. I like it alot just wish that I could tow something with it. I will find out next weekend when I go out to my local muddin hole out in Crosby and tow the trailer. Ill be carrying an extra 4wheeler in the bed now cause my buddy bought a new one. But another one of my buddies is getting a 1 ton cummins dodge so hopefully the Z will be relieved from towing duty atleast from the 4wheelers.

Dude, I'm an old man then at 36. BTW, I used to race 3 wheelers, but I guess you don't remeber them LOL!!!!!

You will get all you need from the 4589 or 4590. No need for that big badass one.

Here is my tranny cooler: Hayden # was 405 and the kit is #390. Don't think you will need the kit if you have a cooler now. You will need some hose though. Notice, on mine that the zip pull throughs are NOT going through the radiator. They are pulled through the cooler to the mounts that I made.

Premount

After mount.
