thanks hirdle, the reason i posted this is because since my tune, im sure most in here have read my timing thread, i am at 22* but with the tune i asked to increase my spark dwell and i had this revelation that maybe thats why i cant run such high timing.

Holy crap, only 22 deg?? If you posted that in a earlier post I didn't catch it but with a cam of that size, 410 gears and a 3200 stall you should be able to run at least 27-28 deg of wot timing safely. Even with a dwell increase. Stock tunes run 18-20 deg WOT timing. You're not even reeping the full benefits of your cam. Who did that tune? With your current mods and a good tune you should be around 280-290 RWHP. Did you ever have it dyno'd?

Owen at Advanced Racind Dynamics did my tune. i started the timing at WOT thread and had it posted and questioned all over there. right now i am at 271rwhp and 301rwtq. i knew i was reeping the benefits of my cam fully because i dont have LT's which should add about 30hp/tq. the timing, once i found out about it, i knew it was robbing me. once i get the LT's and get retuned, im having charlie, vortec350 tune me
