Is there ever a point where you question the point of trying to make a truck fast?

Think I've told the story before. At the track once. Me and a buddy who has an absolutely drop dead sexy all black 03 Cobra. Runs 10's.
We're parked side by side in the pits after a couple passes. I have like 15 guys and gals huddled around the truck with all the questions and gawking under the hood. Not a soul is looking at or talking with him about his Cobra.

Im with KYSilverado, anybody can make a car run 12's-11'10's.. To do it with a truck, IMO you gain more respect from people, esp at the track,, Also in my area, I havn't seen one truck that is fast, the look on a vette, stang or f-body is priceless when you pull them like they are backing up.. I don't regret dumping a load of money into it, get disgusted time to time..

I think the point alot of people missed was, working on a truck is soooooooooooooo much easier cause there is actually room under the hood and what not... I like being able to climb up in my engine compartment and working on stuff, on a F-body it would be alot more busted knuckles and cuts...

im a truck guy. i thought about selling my DD and buying a car to get better MPG. that only last a second, i just cant see myself in a car.
lol 12.5 is my goal too. im hoping 5.3, 80E, and 12PSI will be enough. i know as soon as i hit that i wont be stopping. lol. it never ends but whatelse would i do with my money and spare time.

U gotta pay to play.
I'm w/ the others. Priceless. I'm just not that fast yet. Yet. I don't regret what I've spent thus far, nor will in the future. I know my Z06 needs nothing on his ride to be faster than me or many others. If I spent the cost between what his car costs & my truck. Say, it's $25k. Imagine if I spent $25k on my truck. It'd be a riot! It's not the vehicle of choice most start w/. That makes it fun to me & a challenge!
