Default Is there a High Performance Ballancer for the Trucks?

Ive been searching around looking to see if anyone makes a replacement Truck SFI rated Damper and i can see there are many for the cars but i'm told the truck one is offset compared to it so who makes an aftermarket Damper? Thanks

One of my customers has been working on one (he makes them for other GM applications) but isn't ready to release them yet. I'm hoping to get a prototype in the near future. They'll be 8-rib, of course.

I didn't realize that the car and truck balancers were different...anybody have pics of the differences? (I also thought that the aftermarket UD pullies were the same for both )

I'm running one of the first ATI's. I don't know about there current production but mine is 7.400" 6-rib. If I remember right mine was a custom one made back like 2+ years ago.

Yes, the truck and car versions are different.

I talked to my customer this afternoon, he has the truck balancer on the back-burner while he is working on a new line of balancers for the 'other' LS engines. I will keep bugging him and reminding him that his competitor is taking his $

Powerbond has a nice SFI Approved steel 6 rib balancer for GM trucks, but it is only available in a 25% underdrive configuration now as far as I know. SDPC has them available.

To run a camaro or corvette pulley on a truck accessory drive you need to make a spacer to align your accessories. I would have a machine shop cut the end of your old balancer to make the spacer. I highly doubt there is an aftermarket for this spacer.

Corvette Pulley 0.94" spacer
Camaro Pulley 0.56" spacer

I would measure this for yourself to make sure you have the proper depth of your drive accessories.

Depth of Pullies

Corvette 3.44"
Camaro 3.81"
Truck 4.38"

Remember the part # by chance? was it a steel 3 ring? or aluminum? thanks, and thanks for the spacer info but i really don't want to use one if at all possible
