well i completed my cam swap .and by the way thanks on the oil pump hints last night it was the o -ring.all i can say is i hope you guys arent kiddin when you say tunes are great.my idle fluxuates up and down ,my rockers are hitting the valve covers, yes i ordered comp bolt ons .my truck exhaust is blowing white smoke with a funny smell.and it sounds like its puttin out the exhaust.oh yeh on top of that ican can hardly tell it has any more ***.huh that was worht it .any ideas im open for suggestions.i also put a bbk throttle body on 80 mm,and a jet mass air flow.oh yeh when i lightly press the gas i hear a slight whistle .cam specs 206/214 500 lift 1.75 rockers.

possible on the valvs but they were supposed to be direct bolt ons .the noise could be loose rockers iguess in which would the sam kinda issues.my concern is the idle fluxuating it starts at about 1500 then in gear goes to 1000 i dont know thought it could be the computer not seeing thing s right or tb acting up ya no ,sticking like a carb does?

2004 wow umm hmm i got an 02 1500 5.3l did u change the cam ur self and if you did .... did u hook everything back up correctly its a v8 right and spray some WD-40 on the shaft in and on the outside of your throttle body mine was sticking too wipe the excess oil out of your throttle body ( the oil wont hurt the engine at all actual help) now at idle mine sits at 500RPM in and out of gear...... 1500RPM to 1000RPM sounds like well ur computer is stupid lol umm if all else fails i say u should get your computer reprogrammed for free at a dealer ship because its there fault well it might not be but still

A tune will take care of alot of that. My 224/227 ran rough as hell and died all the time without a tune. With it, it runs a hell of alot better except for a tiny lope...
