Default Thinking about going a different direction. Opinions wanted

Originally I had planned a 427 build fr my '99, then I came across the LQ4 for a deal I couldnt pass up, so I got it. I figured Id drop a decent cam in it, and drop it in once I got the 80e, and run it like that for a while.
Well, Im really missing having a cammed truck, and with the boys coming in soon for summer, then planning to get married in October, then hunting season, its gonna be a while till I get the 80 swap done. So Im really thinking about putting about 20% TM back in the 60e, dropping a TR220, or a comp 220/220 in there, with a Circle-D 3000-3200 stall, and getting everything else ready for the 6.0 (cal-tracks, tru-track, 3.90's)
If I do this, Ill probably run the 4.8 for a while, but Im reconsidering a 427.
Im thinking a good heads/cam 6l may be good enough for me for a while, but Im unsure about what heads.

Whats yalls opinions (on a LQ4) on heads?
Im trying to decide between some 243 casting heads with a Gen IV intake/TB, or L92 set up. Is the LQ4 going to be enough engine for the L92 set up, or will the 243's and Gen IV intake going to be enough?

whats the advantages of each?

This is primarily a to/from work truck, but also my toy. I dont want to get too wild with it cause I need it to stay together and hopefully not be too bad at the gas pump.
My long term goals are a 11 sec daily driveable truck, but for now, 12's would be nice. I know either set up should get me 12's, but overall what would be a better all around truck set up?

If it matters, what Im thinking (havent talked to any professionals) 232-236 ish cam and 3400 stall with 3.90s. And a 27-29" tire.

Pick up a set of PRC 2.5 5.3s, you can get them for a decent priced used and with a .04 headgasket will bump you right up to 11:1 CR and flow pretty good. Best bang for the buck out right now IMO.

This seems to be the bang for buck combo right now, but I'm still a fan of WCCH...I'd talk to Richard and see what he has to offer, ask him about the advantages of his heads over the PRC's, the advantages of the L92's, and what will work best for your needs. I can't stress how good the customer service is with WCCH, and how knowledgeable Richard is, I'm a customer for life and plan to run GENIII/IV's in everything I may build in the future.
