Any truck that weighs that much is a turd..
I have a huge cam, that everyone says you can't tow with a cam cause you lose torque. I have a victor jr intake, that people say you lose torque, so you'd think those there would defeat the purpose and make my truck even more of a turd for towing.. But for the op I'm sure he'll be cammed too..

they way i look at it is like this. on a tight budget, L92 has the bang for buck. the huge intake valve shrouds and limits your cam choice unless you dont mind flycutting.
if your budget allows, a properly ported cathedral head can outperform the l92 style, but the bang for buck goes down.
