Default Thorley tri-y vs. standard long tubes poll in side ( opinions welcome )

i'm still considering the tri-y's. I like the concept of them, and i'm told the mid range gain is phenomenal. So, pros and cons of regular longtubes ( pacesetter, stainless works, etc..) vs. thorley tri-y.

vote and post your opinions.

I like them (THORLEYS). Great quality, and I could still run the kitties. Like you said, the midrange is sweet. Good all-around header.

GreenTahoe, keep us updated.

Evol. 8... your truck is sweet.

Tri-Ys are okay. Nothin' to freak out about because their sweet. Nothin' to bitch about either. Just a decent header for the price.

Mainly b/c the asswipe that I had do the install for me cut the collector off and welded them to the cats If Im ever over in that area again with a few minutes to spare Im going to pay him a visit
My exp. wont be totally unbiased though since I'll be going from with cats and Thorleys to without with Pacesetters. I also like the fact that the Pacesetters have a 3" collector

I'm running the Tri-Ys and high flow cats. Pain-in-the-butt to get on the VHO, but worth the trouble. Mid range performance is good and the sound is nice. Fitment on the top side is excellent. No plug wire problems with my stockers.
