guys he has a dbw tb. you have to pay a lot more attention to these than the cable driven ones, porting wise b/c it can easily mess it up idle wise. i've seen pics of okie's, it looks real good and seems to be working good for him.

I guess what blows my mind is GM prolly spent a million bucks to design a TB, and people are grinding them down in their spare time thinking it will make it better. I think that is something better left alone. Just my .02

They also spend millions of dollars designing exhausts, but we end up running true duals and headers.

They also spend millions of dollars deisgning a suspension for our trucks but we lower and lift them.

Just because GM make it doesn't mean it's the best. There's always ways to make things more efficient and better.

The factory's not as concerned as optimizing performance as they are with emissions, contractual obligations, mass production...the list goes on. If they were, evey truck would come with a stroker and an LS6 manifold, free flowing exhaust systems, etc. I agree that certain items have alot of man hours of R&D in them and shouldn't be fiddled with, but there are some areas where there's alot left on the table. That's what modding's all about...bigger, more, and bigger...bigger cams, more airflow, bigger cubes, porting and polishing, bigger exhaust...etc. etc.
