Default throttle body given me hell

my truck is acting stupid lately as if the blade in the tb is sticking it has almost 86k on it, and i want to upgrade anyways any suggestions? and if i upgrade the throttle body will it cause anyproblems with any other stock parts? or if there is someone that can do some work to the stock one and get better performance out of it at a reasonable price that would be cool. but id like to go with wichever gives the best performance gains

Try Damien on LS1Tech. $55 shipped. Definite improvement over stock.

If I had to guess, it's sticking due to carbon buildup. Spray some seafoam "deep creep" in there, I did that and the sticking went away,

porting is is pretty much all you can do. I mean you're only working with 78mm. You can only port it so much

I just took mine off and scrubbed it really good with a old tooth brush with parts and brake cleaner. Got it all shiney and its been good for almost 2 years now.

This is usually the case with a sticking throttle body...I clean mine about once a year as preventive maintenance. Deep Creep or some other form of induction cleaner works(I like the BG induction cleaner that I get from work). If the tb hasn't been cleaned in a while (or ever), the best way is to totally remove it so you can access the back of the throttle blade completely. Since I clean mine routinely, I usually just remove the intake tube, hold the throttle blade open, liberally spray the cleaner and wipe it well with a shop rag...then rinse and repeat.
