Default Throttle Body question

anyone know the stock size of the 5.3l throttle body. i was looking at T Byrne Motorsports web page and they have a 80mm throttle body. it claims to add 8-10 hp. does anyone know if this is worth getting. the only problem is that it's $400. is it worth that much money? thanks

Personally, I would put that low on the priority list unless you are really planning on major mods. You can port yours. I would add a little more $$$ and get either headers or a 2600 or 3000 stall T/C. Just my $0.02. I have only heard of one or two guys that have done a TB change and they really didn't have any major raves about it, nothing really negative either.

i believe that the stock size is 77mm, i agree with greg, it would be pretty low on my priority list.

If you can hook me up with some used ones, please do. I can't find any.
