Are throttle body spacers, worth it?
Anyone had a throttle body spacer on their 5.3L, noticed a difference, throttle response, 0-60 decreased, etc...?. Also does it make a whistling sound like a supercharger, because my friend has one on his camaro and it whistles like a supercharger would.? Is poweraid the best? About how much hp does it give you?

Well! I've heard yes and no, someguys swear they do and others say they're just a paper weight. The new designed Helix Power Tower from SPE isn't suppose to whistle at all now and it's suppose to make more power than the first one, if the first really made power. It's one of those mods you just have to try for yourself.

I tried the Poweraid. I couldnt tell any difference. Took it off and sold it. Got a UPD intake which I felt was worth alot more than the spacer. Not sure what a combination of the two would have done, oh well. I put a spacer on my old TBI 350 and I could feel the difference on that truck.

I'll have to try the Helix Power Tower. My Poweraid whistles at light throttle. I usually only notice this sound when windows are down. Picked up 2 MPG with this and electric fans.
