Which snappy scanner? 2500 modis or solis? $ is a hex mode 10 is the particular hex mode. That is a generic OBD II diagnostic software. Enter it w/ the vin & see if you can get a P code out of it?

Yeah, need more specific info. I do this for a living but I don't know anything about your ride. Year, model, engine, tranny, mods, etc. $10 doesn't mean much of anything to me. See if Autozone or anyone can get you a P#### type code.
Also from what you posted it would seem the tranny shifts right until you get a code but you're not very clear. Can you describe the problem a little better.
Wanting to help,

i have a 6.0 with a 6.0 and a 220/220/114 fms cam, fms tuned freshley built 4l60e with a 2600 stall. the scanner the tranny guy used was the solis and he did use it in generic mode. the scanner will read a code but my ses light does not come on. will try to go to the zone and get a p code. my tranny shifts fine it is just that the torque converter does not lock up due to this code. all i know is that it the snap on said something about engine controller($10).
