time to hop up the duramax! what mods are best?

I'm new to the forum but have been watching your thread. I'd agree with McRat. If you don't want to spend 3-4 thousand on a tranny get an Edge and stay at level 3 or below. Believe me It's pretty quick. Every once in awhile I turn it up to level 5 and thats when it becomes fast. On level 3 I can run from most any other truck and on level 5 in 4wd I can run neck and neck with 350z's. They usually start to overtake me at about 75-80 due to aerodynamics and gearing. Keep in mind I'm about 7600 lbs., lifted with 35's. If you do the tranny though the sky's the limit. Oilburners have come along way!

BTW. A good exhaust is definately worth it. Not much as a horsepower gain but more for lower EGT numbers and a much better sound.
