time for parts!
well ive had my 03 1500hd lq4 for a little over 3 weeks now and so far i have leveled it, de-badged it, tranny flush, and a k&n intake. I LOVE IT!! My first gm product and i aboslutly love it. now im looking to throw some parts at it. I was thinking a mild cam (suggestions on size please!), ls7 lifters, pushrods and valve springs (still deciding on what to get), ls6 ported and shimmed oil pump from texas speed, maybe a yank 3000 stall, headers, and a magnaflow of some sort. What do yall think? I am new to the gm world and after much research i believe i have came to a legitimate parts list. It still has to be my daily driver but when a ricer pulls up i want to blow its doors off. I appreciate it very much!
ill post pictures of the truck as soon as i figure it out!

anyone? I was doing some research here and found that the 212 218 was a very popular cam. I am basically looking for something that will still have stock, maybe a little extra power on the bottom end but i want most of it on the mid to high end. I will probably never tow anything so that wont be a problem. I am going to get a stall later on probably a yank 3000 or 3200. and should i get push rods or can i reuse the stock ones? If i have to get new ones what are the correct size for my engine?
My truck is an 2003 gmc sierra 1500hd 2wd ccsb 3.73 limited slip and 4l80e. i might also regear and get 4.10's with an aftermarket locker.

I would say read the parts list at the bottom of peoples posts and u will find what parts, what and how much power, how fast in a 1/4 and go from there. And don't be affraid to send people PMs to ask about their builds. U will find a lot of helpful people with a **** load of knowledge. Best of luck with your new addiction!

When you install the 212/218 what else do you have to do? I heard GM made a cam that they put in their 5.3 crate engines that is pretty good and not too radical, but I havnt been able to find it.
