Default Timing Chain!

Is there an adjustable, single chain one available?

If so...where can I order/get one?

Here you go MR.X....Cloyes makes one and you can get it from Summit. It has a .005" tighter centerline than GM's set. I checked their online catalog and could not find it. But I have bought one from them before. Comp Cams offers one also but I believe it's the Cloyes repackaged with their name.

Cool! Do ya have a part number? Should I just give Summit a ring at 800-230-3030 ?

More Performance has them for a little over 110 I believe. Its a double roller adjustable though. SDPC and Tbyrne have them also.

Part #9-3153A is for the Cloyes Hex-a-Just timing set for the LS1 style engines. It includes billet gears and heavyduty chain. It is a single chain. The lower gear also has the 3 position keyed hub. The earlier sets did not have the heavyduty chain. The heavyduty chains have thicker links than the stock chain. If you happen to get the lighter one contact Cloyes and they will upgrade it for you. Hope this helps.

I pulled that part number up and it was around $135, without chain. With the ED chain was like $350!

Did more searching...yay. This is the timing set ---> CLO-9-3153A and this is the chain for it ---> CLO-9-4194

The chain is $27, gears are $137.

WTF is this setup ---> CLO-C3210 ??? "Heavy Duty (X) = 3 Keyway" Is that an adjustable chain also?

I did some more checking also. The part number you want is 9-3153AL. The L makes sure you get the new improved chain (severe duty) along with the billet gears. Number C3210 is just a heavy duty set which has cast gears. Don't know if it is adjustable or not.
MorePerformance lists the 9-3153A for $149. They may have the 9-3153AL also but I don't know at what price.

The 9-3153AL is $360! I can't drop that much for a timing set. The 9-3153-A comes without a chain... and is like $135 from Summit.
