Default Took the plunge this afternoon...

Thanks to APE ( ), I'm a proud new daddy of a bouncing baby Callies / Diamond 408 rotating assembly.

Guess I better hurry up and decide on a tranny...

Wow that sounds like a sweet setup you got going there. How much boost are you planning to run? If you have any dyno graphs or track times be sure to keep us informed

Very nice. From everything I can tell, APE sounds like a great shop to work with. Congrats.

if awd wasnt so cool, you could get rid of it all together, lose alot of weight, just run the built 4l80e

Thanks, BigTex. It's gonna be a fun year for sure.

The 408 is 9:1, so I am going to run at least 15 psi in high boost mode (I've been told that with my meth kit, I might be able to run a higher boost ). I may bump up low boost (to 10psi or so -- it just has to be completely safe with no meth - backup mode), but that will come later. Right now, cruise mode is 7psi.

Yeah, I just really love the complete lack of traction troubles I'm gonna keep the AWD and it looks like that decision kind of dictates what I'm doing in the tranny... No TKO. No 4L80E. Looks like an FLP level 5 or a Rossler or ???

You damned SS guys are nuttier than a sh&thouse rat!

Do any of you still have the "little" 6.0L left in the bay? LOL

Hey, have any of you STS big cube guys though about trying a fabbed up intercooler or maybe fitting one from a Duramax truck like the guy did on this board with his ATI SC? I figure once I get the motor set to handle 15+ psi I am gonna have some sort of intercooler on there so i dont have to rely so heavily on the Meth. What do you think?

I'm definitely thinking about intercooler options. I've got a very stable tune going on right now for 7psi, but... 10 psi is better

Us SS guys switch to big cubes, because 10.1:1 and high boost aren't a good mix in the long term If I'm gonna do all that work to swap pistons, I'm damn sure gonna go big
