gearwrench 10,13,15mm
3/8 drive universal impact deep sockets
Extensions 1,3,6,and 36" for tranny
Locktight
fuel line disconect tools "LITTLE CHEAP BLUE AND GREY ONES WORK GREAT
pliers slip joint and long 45 degree needle nose are nice for hose clamps
1/2 3/8 and 1/4 air tools
21mm wrench and sockets
18mm wrench and sockets
Get a fan clutch wrench "mine was rusted on bad"
fast drying brake cleaner
Allen socket 4 verter bolts "forget size"
rags
oil filter
oil
intake gaskets
exhaust gaskets
I am sure I forgot some things. If you are going by a book, you DON'T need to disconnect the a/c or remove any of the front end. Take a cardboard box, cut to fit the condenser and tape it in there to prevent bending the fins. take the intake off , its quik and give you lots of clearance with your chain. Be careful wiith your torque converter allen bolts out. Known for rounding off. Most important= get some friends to help. Good luck! When your are done it might look like this.

I'll list as much as I can, ( and I'm sure I'll forget some stuff..):

1. Fuel line disconnect tool
2. 1/4" drive ratchet, extensions, and sockets 8-14mm....(8 and 10 mainly, probably 13 too, cant remeber)
3. 3/8" drive ratchet, extensions, and sockets 10-19mm....(5/8, 15, universal joint, probably a few other but can't think of any right now)
4. Wrenches....once again, mainly 8, 10, 13, 15 and gear wrenches would be great too.
5. Pulley puller....I have the Blue Point puller, but therer are many others that will work.
6. 1/2" drive breaker bar, cheater pipe, 15mm, 24mm socket, and some extensions (impact wrench would be great too).
7. Torque Wrenches
8. Pliers for all the Hose Clamps.
9. Screwdrivers....rarely used but nice to have (a small flat blade can come in handy with some of the electrical clips)
10. Prybars ( for holding flywheel while loosining converter and holding pulley stationary)

That's all I can think of but maybe someone else can chime in.

let me know what you don't have that I need to bring with me.

we'll need a torch to help with installing that underdrive pulley (using the "white1 method"), I'll look for his torch tonight if it's at the house

I'll also look for his metric gearwrench set.... using sockets and extensions for bellhousing bolts is for pussies 15mm gearwrench FTW!

There is only 3 torque converter bolts and your's could be anything - your torque conveter isn't factory. I think Matt has had Trox, Allen and hex headed bolts over the time... either way I have the sockets/bits that should take care of that, I also have a spare set of hex coverter bolts if there's a problem with them.

if you dont have a tool set, go to sears and buy the 220 peice craftsman set. GREAT beginners tool box and they have lifetime warranty. Has just about everything you need except pliers, utility knife, big *** monkey wrench and swivels
