Unfortunately, when a dealership (or anyone with the proper tools) downloads the tune, its based on VIN. So you'd have to tell it to download an 02 VIN. There aren't any easily attainable tools that would allow you to change the VIN without changing the whole tune. Its possible that some outfits like starr performance, speartech, carputing, etc..., shops who have the knowledge to really edit the PCM would be able to do this.

Does anyone other than Creeder have an updated 99 PCM?? Im gonna pay Allen to update and tune my truck in July and I want to know if it will fix my 99 PCM before I drop that cash on it.

Seafoam is a pretty good top end cleaner to use when using the vacuum line method. I was actually surprised that it worked so well in fact. You can get it from parts stores for $5.98.
