If you get the stock drive shaft high speed balanced it will be fine. The specs they use at the factory are marginal at best.

Mine is stock height, but rolling on 275/45R20's with a V speed rating. The handle the high speed very well. The truck also has a toneau cover keeping the tailgate and box of the truck from being a sail. The truck handles 130 without much issue.

On my way back from Virginia a few months back I was messin with a turbo porche, I had the 120 speedo pegged for 30 seconds and it was still accelerating, My tires are good to 149, I think I was about 15 mph or less from makin it, It felt pretty stable. Truck is Lowered 2" front and rear, wide tires with good shocks and a swaybar.

been up well over 140 in my ext cab... the wheelbase helps at highspeeds... but the mile long driveshaft combined with the increased drivetrain speeds dur to re-gearing doesnt help a thing... your suspension and tires are a huge factor in stability... I'm dropped 3/5 with pretty good rubber.

Also You Must Realize That A F Body Driveshaft Is Designed To Push A Vehicle Half The Weight... So The Extra Load Could Easily Destroy A Driveshaft... Your Best Bet Would Be To Get Ahold Of A Good Drive Line Shop And Get It Done Right So There Are No Problems In Your Future

Yeah, you want to start looking at high speeds, you need something a bit more firm than stock shocks and tires. A good drop, some stiffer shocks, some bigger sway's, brakes that will handle slowing you down and Z-Rated rubber and you should be okay. I've done a GPS'd 158 in my truck, and it felt great. You gotta get it down out of the air tho.

Not that I condone any of this post, just sayin..

140+ feels solid. not scarry at all. been in stock height trucks with factory tires that feel scarry at 100
