Default TORCO Octane Booster??

well i used it on my sti with a gt40 kit and def. made a difference just seeing other feedback from you guys. I would run 1/4 tank and put one bottle in which should bring above 100 octane.

Anyone else use this stuff in here?

It's the real deal...and THE ONLY octane booster that actually works. It's not actually an octane booster, but a Race Fuel Concentrate. I forget the exact ratio measurements but you can find it on their site. I used it on my car before which had a 10.5:1 compression ratio and was showing signs of detonation on straight pump gas.

I've been warned to not run race fuel or additive when tuned and running Meth. Anyone?

What kind of warning? I know alot of guys doing that exact thing... either running pump gas, race gas, with or without Torco, and Meth injection.

BTW, I love Torco... works VERY well for me especially in the summer time. One 32oz can per fill up with 91 crap gas and I'm good to go... takes me to a true 93+ Octane. My 1st purchase was a 6 (32oz can) box. My second purchase was a 5 gallon can which I bought in June... and still have some left.

Are they tuning for it? I guess what i mean is if added to tank but no tuning was done?
Not sure about an additive but I was told NOT to run race fuel.

My personal experience is that with the Maggie box tune and 91 crap gas my truck would ping fairly easily in the hot summer months here. I did nothing but add one 32oz can of Torco to a full tank of crap gas and it quit pinging under the same driving / temperature conditions.

If you add Torco to pump gas and then have the tuner go to work... Torco or an Octane equivalent mix of pump gas and race gas must continue to be used. It really does effectively increase the Octane level. Doing so allows the tuner to screw more timing and other magic tricks into the tune to get more power to the ground. Take the fuel additive out and the motor will detonate with possible catastrophic results. Tune with meth, same thing IMO.

BTW, I know one C5 guy that runs nothing but Sunoco 104 and Meth... on a forged LS1 with a TTiX twin turbo kit... puts 850/850+ to the ground. Its been street driven for over a year now...

If no tuning changes, I am not sure why you would do this. Raising the octane without adding timing is not going to do anything. I can see if the engine was pinging/detonating it would help.

Or... You can make a track/race tune designed to run off 0f 100 octane and you could take advantage of additional timing.
