Default Torque Converter ????

I have ordered a new converter but really don't want to pay the money that the tranny guy wants to install it when I could just get off of my lazy butt and do it over the weekend. What I am getting to is for all of you that have installed your own, what problems did you run in to or what are some little time savers that you found while doing the install. Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Ignore Hyde, he posts that stuff all the time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

As far as the install, I had my truck on a lift. Remove the converter bolts, unbolt the driveshaft, unplug all the wire harnesses, take out the dip stick tube, take off tranny lines for the cooler, and unbolt tranny from the block. Might have to take off the starter, or at least remove the heat shield. Also get a tranny jack. Pull away from the engine, remove the converter, and install new converter. Remember to fill new converter with fluid. You'll also need a long extension and swivel head for your socket. I used an impact wrench.

I am perfectly capable of doing the work myself. I was just making sure that there weren't some issues that anyone had run in to that might save me some time. Some of us do more than just check this board every day of our lives and don't see where people have posted these questions and that is why they get asked numerous times. I have been a member on here and ls1.com for a while and people that have nothing better to do than make replies like that and just waste everyone's time is why more questions don't get asked. So the way I look at it is, "If you don't have a legitimate answer, then don't even reply."
