Back to the thread, i say try getting that engine up on power before you worry about a stall. Those old 454s are made for low rpm power, high torque in the lower rpms. They loose power in the higher rpms. Maybe try and find some heads, long tubes, and such first.

Anyway, I have a Vig 3200 and I love it. It is a little loose and gets annoying in traffic but my truck is not tuned. I'm waiting for the Nelson tune(in the mail) so I can get the most out of it.
When I get the PCM, I will put on the Flex fans I have sitting on the floor here ( ) and I will take it to the track after I pick up my BFG drag radials. I want to see what this little 4.8 can do

B&M Super cooler is the one to get. It's about $45-60 depending on where you get it. Better than the tube+fin coolers.
