from my experience a 100% tqm removal will cause the tranny to go out sooner than expected if you are hammering on it. a shift kit and servo's will allow it to last alot longer.

Hammering it. Exactly. If you are punching it at every stop light then yeah it will probaly go.

of course it will shorten life, but so does every power adding mod. a stock trans is going to fail under proper use of the truck anyway. that just means it's time for an upgrade.
