Default torquiest cam?

one of these will be going in a 5.3 with WCCH milled heads, combined with LTs, ORY, FLT tranny with a 2600-2800 stall. Which cam would be the best for bottom end torque?

if you keep the duration down it will make the power band start earlier. However it might not make the max tq like the others but it will make it earlier.

Yep. Consider where in the power band the torque is made. I like the power where I'm going to use it most. Its all in what you want. Allen Nelson recommended a 215 223 .629 .636 112 for my truck for big torque in the low to mid rpm range.

Go with the Vinci for torque; they seem to be known for torquey (is that a word?) cams.

thats in a 6.0, correct? 5.3, I imagine that the cam you have might be a bit on the big side.

Holy crap, where did you get that cam? How do you like it? Do you have any dyno sheets for your results? Isn't that lift a little too much? That sounds like an awesome set up. What gears are you running and what kind of economy are you able to get, city and highway?
Sorry for all of the questions but I've really been looking hard for some type of combo for my 6.0 for a while now and that cam sounds like one of the best so far. If you could do it again would you go on a 110 LSA or give it 2 degrees advance? Thanks!

We haven't done anything but purchase the parts today. When my heads arrive in a couple of weeks it will all go in. I will post dyno gains and track times then. I volunteered to be the Guinea Pig on this setup. The lift is insane, but Allen isn't concerned and is anxious to try it. It is a Comp Cam that is fairly new. It should be a fun setup.

Yep, its a 6.0. The cam should be strong from 1000 rpm up to 6200 rpm and falls off quickly after that.

Sorry for the thread whoring.

For low end torque in order from highest to lowest, the Vinci ASP Kicker, then the TSP 220, then the TR224. Reverse them for peak power.
