I know that Greg, Fast4.8 towes a big trailer behind his. He uses air shocks and a weight distribution hitch, and has no problems at all from I have heard.

He will probably reply to give you any more info I might have missed.

Yep, I do. I tow a 6200# 30' travel trailer with my truck. I put Gabrial air shocks on it (from Autozone lifetime warranty). I also put some shock extenders on to keep the back from raising back up since the airshocks are a little taller. I just pump them up to abput 120psi, hook up the brick and away I go(with the wieght distribution hitch of course). Let me know know if you have any more questions. Thanks Y2K2.

Cool

That's kinda what i figured. If i can't get bags in there, air shocks will do the trick.

I'm guessing the factory hitch is gonna be ok. Considering i'm only towing about 4500 lbs with it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I tow with mine. I only tow a singel Waverunner, but my suspension holds up fine for having a 4-link with baggs. Kent.

Default Towing with a lowered truck

Who's doing it??

I can't run airbags for helper springs in the rear w/ the DJM hanger/shakle drop. Any ideas??

Or are people getting away with it on the stock springs?

Fast, what's this weight distibuting hitch you are speaking of? My truck is lowered 5/7" and I was thinking about trying to tow a 24" enclosed with vehicle in it. I think I'll just add air bags in the rear. How low is your truck? Mine has spindes and springs in the front and rear flip.

My truck has a 3/4 drop. The hitch I'm speaking of is this. <img src="http://www.drawtite-hitches.com/WD/sm_round.jpg" alt=" - " />

Any trailer place will have them.
