toyo tire report
got to say i am growing to like these toyo's, before with nearly new 265/75/16 firestones i could turn over all 4(at least 3) tires for 20-30' on clean dry pavement. thats with just 6-7psi.
now with the toyos, 275/60/16 i see just a few feet of wheel spin and sometimes no wheel spin at all. even with a 35shot on top of the 6-7psi i still only see a tiny bit of wheel spin. remember these tires are 2.7" shorter than before. the looks are growing on me, i have to pull the z71 stickers and the truck will look just like any other 2wd. ultimate sleeper, too bad i can't keep from running my mouth about it.

It sure is nice to see someone else likes the Toyos as much as I do. I read you had second thoughts concerning the tire height, but now that you have had a chance to launch with them, I think you now know why I am all smiles about them damn chunks of rubber! How about the fact that there is no way to ever curb the rims? It is also interesting that you got rid of wheel hop...talk about a big added bonus. There was someone else on this board that was going to get some; I wonder what his thoughts are?

Re: toyo tire report
i did combine projects as usual so i am not 100% sure where all the benifit came from, besides the tires i droped the truck 1".
something else to note, i still have the 36psi that the tires came with and the road was prety cool(45deg or colder) and i didn't heat them up at all. not sure if any of these things will help me grip better later but they might. the manufacture calls for 8.5" or wider rim and mine are 7", they look fine to me. i pulled a 1.79 60' and a 3.67 0-60mph with them and i think i can do better.

Yeah i'm happy with em. I haven't really officially ran them yet, but with my day to day high speed F1 like driving, they're doing the job. I'm sure they will at the track and everywhere else as well. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
