i am running patriot gold springs. 112 lsa so it hits pretty good. i have yet to dyno it but this is derek@edo's old motor. in his truck with a nelson tune it dyno'd 380 i believe. the only things different from when derek had it is the tbss intake and the valvesprings. and of course the tune.

the springs are overkill but there isn't much of a cheaper part on the engine that can destroy everything if it fails. i am not saying they will never break but there are less failures of them versus the 918's or ls6 springs. just be sure to put in whatever you will be comfortable with.

hmm thats pretty deep.

I am looking for some lope, and i just ordered some cut outs, with the idle set right in my tune and the cut outs open do you think the tr224 on 114 will lope? also the 114lsa serves to bring the powerband a little lower than the 112lsa correct? Thanks for all the info brother

i have never heard a tr224-114 but i bet you would be able to hear it. especially through a cut-out. my understanding is that the 114 lsa powerband would be higher and the torque a little less peaky.

i would bet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the 2 as far as driving. i am sure a dyno chart would show something. if you got a good price on it i would def do it.

well it doesnt matter, his original private message had a typo in it, it is on 112 lsa. I question him cause of not much coming up for a tr224 on 114, haha he was at a budies house and his girlfriend looked at it. I got pics of the cam card coming but being on 112 makes much more sense.

Are you not afraid that would be a cam better suited for a lighter truck and get you something custom done? The specs might not be far off, but just because some hauls in a pickup doesn't mean it would be suited for a Denali. Just a thought I would check and make sure.

no im very aware of that fact..but the fact comes down to, no cam or best used one. Not every thing can be done ideally. I work my *** off to pay a large percentage of my college and yes i do somehow manage to save and spend money on my truck. in a perfect world i would want a 212/218 .56ish lift on 111 lsa. Unfortunately that cam doenst come up used very often and 175 for the tr224 is alot better than 500 bucks for a custom grind. Trust me know i know it sounds horrible to spend any money at all, if it will be wasted, but the weight difference in my awd denali, and truckshop's crewcab is neglible. I hope it works great, if not then i have no doubt i can get my money back out of it. Thanks skyhighsami, i do like people who speak there opinion even if its something that the other person may not want to hear, i respect that alot actually. I just know that i have been shopping for a long time, and i suppose call it settle if you want, that i will just have to go with a cam preven time and time again, even if its not ideal.
