I thought the z06 springs were only rated to .550 lift
the springs were originally rated only to .550 by gm, because thats what they were used in, thats how gm rates all of there springs. But there are many cam/cam grinders out there with lifts up to .581 that recommend the yellow ls6 springs. I

If you can get it for 175, go for it. Take the money you would have spent on a different cam and get a good converter. Then you'll be able to take full advantage of that cam.

Show me where I can get a tr224 for $175 and I'll buy it right now. Going rate seems to be $250 shipped.

Still trying to decide between 4.10s, cam, or HSW wet plate kit.

The 4.10s will cost about $500 installed.

With a cam you're looking at the price of the cam, springs, pushrods, ported oil pump, 8.1L 31lb injectors and install. I've totaled that at around $1050

The HSW wet kit is about $900 total with all the goodies, plus I'd need a new fuel pump since mine could be going at any moment.

I think the OP said he could get a used one for 175. If I could get a new one for 175, Id have one too. I might be needing a new one anyway.

He wanted it sold, and i told him i could only give me 155 now. he said that was cool, so i offered to give him a little more later...should be a good cam for me, now i just gonna get some z06 springs push rods

sorry to bump this, but can this cam be used with a TVS1900, or should I say, would it hurt it or help it?
