tr224...epic cam or greatly overrated?

I thought the z06 springs were only rated to .550 lift

If you can get it for 175, go for it. Take the money you would have spent on a different cam and get a good converter. Then you'll be able to take full advantage of that cam.

Show me where I can get a tr224 for $175 and I'll buy it right now. Going rate seems to be $250 shipped.
Still trying to decide between 4.10s, cam, or HSW wet plate kit.
The 4.10s will cost about $500 installed.
With a cam you're looking at the price of the cam, springs, pushrods, ported oil pump, 8.1L 31lb injectors and install. I've totaled that at around $1050
The HSW wet kit is about $900 total with all the goodies, plus I'd need a new fuel pump since mine could be going at any moment.

ya i bought it...and it was used. 500 miles on it. I actually payed 155, with the promise of another 15 down the road. He wanted it sold, and i told him i could only give me 155 now. he said that was cool, so i offered to give him a little more later...should be a good cam for me, now i just gonna get some z06 springs push rods
