Smile Track times...

Well, with about 1200 miles on the new motor, I got the itch to take her to the 1/8 mile track not too far away. My previous times were 15.8 in the quarter and 10.1 in the eighth with the 5.3, tonneu cover, and a bunch of crap in the bed (tool box, golf culbs, etc.) Here's the runs.

ET MPH 60' RT
9.141 75.565 2.000 1.033
9.164 75.973 2.051 1.0049

Then I remember to brake stall (there's that torque steer! ) and flip the visor down.

9.107 75.192 1.987 0.643
9.077 76.412 2.006 0.689

All runs were in 3rd and launching in 4 HI. Needless to say, I was very happy with the times. I won against 2 LT1's (stock 97 Z28 conv. and a '94 with headers and exhaust), a Nissan Sentra that had headers, exhaust and a bunch of other fruity colored stuff I didn't recognize , and a 1st Gen. Camero

They have bracket racing this evening and I wonder if I stand a chance? I'm thinking I may have a shot at a 8.9

I managed to get a bit of data from the predator during 2 of the runs. I'm getting some seroius knock retard, 7.32 dgrees at WOT I think my A/F is good at 9.43 mV, so maybe I'll get a bit of timing pulled for my next tune?

Thanks all!

.943 O2 readings at WOT? If so, thats very rich. Its not perfect, but shoot for the .90 range or just a bit under. Most of your KR could have come from being overly rich. Nice times BTW.

Got it, maybe I get put it on the dyno in a few weeks and get some more data for Mr. Lyndon. My last tune was a bit rich too. 13.1:1 to 11.8:1 (3000-5800 RPM) on the Dyno.
