I know with my 4.10s, 3200stall and posi I get NO traction from a complete stop....haven't you guys seen my video?
If you like running from a slow roll however (20-25mph) then get my setup, my **** pulls hard with no slipping....

Believe it or not, higher stalls are easier to launch off the line than tight stalls.
Unless you have some exstensive suspension mods neither will let you just punch it off the line but, the higher stall will let you roll into the throttle harder without blowing the tires away. I don't know how to explain it exactly but, from experience it's true.
I had a 3200 stall and 3800 stall in my Camaro and the 3800 was much nicer on the street from a stop and roll. I could roll into the throttle hard with the 3800 and not smoke the tires while anything over 1/4-1/3 throttle with the 3200 seemed to spin'em.
WILWAXU or Ragtop 99 could probably explain it better if you ask in the Transmission section.

It's ashame BFGoodrich doesn't make a drag radial our size because those bastards will hook anything on the street. My brother in laws big block 4spd 67 Chevelle hooks like crazy on some narrow a$$ BFG drag radials. It's crazy. They spin for a little bit but, when they get hot it's all over but the crying.

That's why I suggested he keep his higher gears and get a 3000 stall

chingon what size rims do you have?
what size tires?
do you have any side wall?
if not this may be your problem. no side wall = no wrinkle effect. try a set of slicks and see how it hooks with your 4.10's then. i bet you will be amazed at how well it will lauch with those.
on mine i have about 4-6 inches of side wall and i run on about 25lbs of air in the tires.

I believe Oxidizr has a stock 5.3, transgo and servos, 4000 stall, cooler, and ASMs...oh yea...and nitrous
He had to change his rear tires to slicks to smack down that Viper though

I don't believe they make street slicks for 20s. Biggest I think is 18s.
I'm either going to go to dr's or get a higher gear like 3.73 or 3.42

i agree with Chingon, going to 4.10's w/ a 3000< stall will suck due to no traction, unless you have slicks or something. plus traction is already an issue with your setup. when you swap out the open diff and put in posi, it will not 100% cure your traction problems. you still turn tires loose with posi. again look at chingy's vid
