Yea, I'm leaning that way more and more every day. gotta get up the street to the local dealer where I know the Parts manager and see what kind of price he can do for me...if it's real good, I might go for it.

Dont forget there is also a $100 core charge, and I heard it hsa to be the same PN converter. So they may not accept your stock one as a core. I would think they would, but who knows. Also figure in the cost of shipping, both ways.

Shouldn't it also be available thru a dealer? I know yu would have to wait for it, but it would save shipping cost right?

Is it possible to go out and rent a TB for a day and swap the converters with a truck? I don't think it would be too difficult to do and posibly unoticable when returning the TB. If anyone would get away with that, I bet the TB would be a dog out-of-the-hole. People who later rent it would be all pissed.

Can you order one through the dealer? What would it stall up to for a 4.8? And $180 isn't bad at all for a higger stall.

$188 is not bad for a stall but gmpartsdirect will want to charge you your left ball for shipping.

I have PI Vig 3000 and I guarantee you if my wife drove my truck right now she'd never know that I put a stall in. Taking off "normal" the rpms don't seem to go much over 1800 or so. There is ZERO sacrificing with this Stall. Honestly guys, don't be afraid to go to a bigger stall. From what I've experienced and read, anything 3200rpm or over is when you start to notice the rpms creaping up higher than what you would normally expect.
