something that is kinda baffling to me at this point. the first trailblazer converter i put in was ordered for an 04' 4x4 version. which carries a different number than the 4x2 version (i believe it still does). upon ordering it gm changed the part number and sent it like they do on a regular basis, the difference being it wasn't a new converter anymore, it was a reman which they commonly do. after checking that same part number again as of current, it's now listed as a converter for a 4.3 full size. this being rather confusing to me since the converter works just fine behind the 6.0 it's in, i checked into it and found that the 99 and up trucks with an M30 all use the same input shaft. checking into it more shows that the s10 still uses the old style 30 spline, but the 4.3 in the full size silverado/sierra shows to be the same 33 spline the gen III v8's use. the part number has also changed again on that converter which is about the 4th time and that was just for the 03' model and it's no longer listing that converter for the 4.2. interesting enough anyway, it appears the converter from a fullsize new body style with a 4.3 works just fine behind the gen III v8 and once shared the part number with a 4.2 (for a short enough period of time for gm to get bored with it). something to keep in mind when shopping for them. anyone on here had a 4.3 trans out of a fullsize yet?

as far as i've seen, only the full size trucks with 4.3 is 33 spline.
