Default Tranmission Fluid / Yank 3000

I am getting ready to install a Yank 3000 converter and was wondering about the trans fluid. What type of fluid are you guys running? Someone was talking about the F type fluid making it shift better. Any help???

I used Supertech Dexron Mercon II or whatever it's called. It took 2 gallons and about 1/4 of a quart. It shifts a slight bit softer than before. I have HPP shift firmness and Corvette servo. It still shifts fast, it just doesn't jerk as hard. (I am talking about light throttle, I haven't hammered it yet)

Here is a really good thread over in the Auto Trans forum. It has some really good tech info on page 3 about half way down.

Trannies aren't that confusing! LOL Just need to know the key points to make them last.

I use just the cheapo Dex III/Mercon ATF. Change that crap every 15K and be good to go. Deep pans are a plus and coolers are smart!
