Yes they help and you can get one for about $40 to $75 bucks depending on brand and size. I would do it yourself.

10 bucks damn thats good. Hey tx if you need help installing it lemme know Ill be back in texas the 15th for 10 buck syou cant go wrong. Silveradosam install it yourself its easy and it is one of the simplest mods to make your tranny last. A 24,000gcvw wold probably be plenty. B&M is a pretty good brand I have also heard good things bout tru-cool too thats the brand that I have but mine is a 40,000gcvw cause I tow and have a stall and live in a really hot climate too.

if you are planning on going with a stall and toying with the truck and pushing it to its performance limit a $20.00 cooler such as that is a terrible thing to waste a tranny on. that is a small tube and fin cooler. i suggest a better stacked plate design. especially here in texas. and in an ext cab truck. if you need help with one lemme know. ill help you install it.

with everything that happens with the rest of the FLEXI-crap, items I would personaly stay away from it.

I good Heavy duty cooler will work for a 2800 or smaller cooler..
2800 and bigger you are going to need to make some modifications to your cooling system.
