The tranny is slipping pretty bad under full acceleration now. It takes like 2 seconds for it to complete the shift from first to second. My new setup should be ready install in early September. Will it make it? Damn, I hope so. I don't want to install the new tranny on this motor. I guess I'll have to baby it for the next few weeks.

Yeah, it's time to drive like my grandpa. If it will only last for the rest of this month....

Get some DuraLube too. It's a trans fluid additive. I would try the one in the black bottle, it's to convert the mercon/dexron fluid to TypeF. It has much better friction additives. Trans builders swear by it.

I would go with an FLP before I went with them. They seem more eager to sell something than to talk about the trans. That's the idea I got anyways. I went and got about 700 worth of parts from them once though. Needless to say I'm now running the 80e.

Finish line performance. They are one of our sponsors. They make some good transmissions from what I hear. I think I'm going with TeamTripp.com. The owner seems to know what he is doing and he has some great prices. He also has a warranty with his trannies.
