Good deal. I'm glad to hear it is working out well so far. Chuck has always came through for me when I used his trannies in my T/A. Hell it was the only one that last long enough for me to do something stupid and break it because of something I did. LOL

On a side note, I guess I was setting my sights a lil high when i wanted high 11s with just the turbo. My buddy made a few G-Timer runs last night while data logging with a passenger and he only turned a bunch of 13.0@105mph 1.92 60's on 10psi. Damn IATs were 190deg before the meth so I'm not too happy about that but my OBX IC just came in so that should be a quick fix. I'm hoping for low 12s on boost once I get the IC on and add more boost. At 13psi he saw 240deg IATs!

Are you gonna try to run more bottle on this motor or you gonna just max out boost till your 408 is done?

got a couple of races in tonight. truck is running freeking hard!! heres the low down. raced a modified supra. got him the first time and it was too close to call the 2nd time. i was running almost 15psi and a 75shot(only from 2500-4500). gtech showed a 1.72 60', 11.1 at 121. that corects to about 11.4 at 116. not too bad. that was with a pasenger so that and my seat and gate and other stuff is over 300lb's i can drop. it isn't cold out either, like 75deg. i am definately flowing more air with the modified airfilter and intercooler and cut out. maf was flatlined thru all of 1st 2nd and most of 3rd, it was maxed at 4900rpm do i sound excited? cause i am.

did i say this thing is running HARD? no really. the intercooler really seems to be kicking ***. my IAT's go from about 95deg before a run to about 115deg at the end and back to 95deg within a minute or so it is plane dangerous to floor it on anything other than a flat strait road. my timing is holding at 20deg thru the run. no more than 1deg of KR and that is at the shifts.

i have 2 problems. the truck shuts off about 120mph. it apears to not be a throttle thing. i hope there is some kind of limter table i missed.. 2nd problem with higher boost and the cut out open it is missing right at the top of each gear. like 5800rpm to 6000rpm. i have new plug wires and have tried 2 sets of ngk tr6's and now some auto lights similar to the tr6's. same effect. it seems to not miss with the cut out closed but i think it would if i just bumped up the boost so it was flowing the same air. i think it is a cylinder presure thing and "blowing" out the spark. now does that mean i need a colder plug or a hoter plug or a diferent gap or more spark. i put new wires on it too so it's not that. also when i was running the nitrous before it missed up top so bad it stoped pulling so it isn't just one cylinder thing.

i will post up a vid of the supra runs tomorrow.

Damn, you're getting me excited! LOL

What are you gapped at now? I'm assuming near .035?

Which plug wires? Did you check the resistance vs the stockers?

Ohh, and when you say the G-Tech said one thing but the "corrected" time was differrent, what did you mean?

I think spark blowout means you need less gap or more voltage. Did you ever get any BR7's? Don't know if that would help blowout, but a cooler plug couldn't hurt.

Parish, if I were you, try running a colder plug. I have had this discussion with NGK many of times. For every 100hp or so you add to what you started with, you should drop one step. On F8l's truck and others that I do, I like to run the NGK BR7EF plugs. One step colder than the tr-6, plus its a non projected tip with a nice tight Gap. The plug works great. Helps alot with knock. Try those out and see what you get with those. Same price as all the other tr-6 plugs. Cant hurt right?

Parish, one more question about TCC lock up. I have F8l's truck set for non lock through the gears because of drivability and realiablilty also. If I set it to lock at teh top of second or into third, you think we could pick up alittle more out of it? I only ask this because through second gear this truck freaking does not stop pulling with the size of the exhaust housing on it. But once in third, I am not sure if more load will help it out with top end by locking it. What do you think?

Could you be smacking a rev limiter? I see that my shifts go up to 6600+ sometimes. I have my shift points set at 6500 in all tables I can set them to. Sounds wierd ... but may be worth checking out.

If it is blowing the spark out gapping the plug smaller will help. I had that problem with a very high compression 2 stroke motor. Gapped the plug smaller and it runs like a champ. Colder plug might work too.

Parish, are your shifts completely vacuum controlled or can you still set your shift points with the computer?
