Tranny valve question. Fast reply please....
Transmission shop called today and said they may have left a valve out of my tranny. They said it was easy to look for and easy to install. All I have to do is remove the pan and see if the valve is there or not. They are sending me a valve overnight, but does anybody have a clue what valve they are talking about? How hard is it to put in? He said it was easy, but I really have no clue, so it looks like I'm going to have to take it to another tranny shop so they can get it put it right. I don't think I'm capable. Thanks and please reply if you have any idea what is going on here.

The only valves visible when the pan is removed is the boost valve and then the pistons and springs that work as valves in the valve body, but then all you see to those are the plugs on the end or solenoids. Do you have all gears and no problems with the tranny? I couldn't imagine it running correctly with a valve left out.

It could be a number of valves. The valve body has 6 I think, and a couple of others. There's also one in the pump.
If you get a picture of the valve and the valve body with the pan off I might can help you out.

Try this, page three shows the manual valve I was talking about. I know this can be seen with the pan off, but I think you need to drop the VB to get it off due to the way the linkage connects to it.
