Default Trans Coolers & Deep Trans Oil Pans

Well I think I must start adding a little help to my transmission after adding the Cam and Long Tubes I would like to have a peace in mind so I was thinking of adding a Tru-cool 40,000 Trans cooler along with a Hughes Deep Aluminum Trans. Pan. I know many of you guys run one of these I would like to get some feed back on them. Do you guys think this should be sufficient with the mods i have listed in my Sig.

Thanks!!!

I've got a Tru-Cool mini-max & Derale deep pan with cooling tubes on my '04 4L60E, I also wrapped the exhaust pipe going under the trans pan with header wrap and used royal purple syn trans fluid

Before, my stall converter used to cook the trans fluid so much you could smell it in the cab. Now my trans temps have not gone above 135 degrees, and usually cruise around town @ 128-130, and I could probably do better if I mount the cooler in front of the Efans too

my 40k GVW cooler keeps my trans really cool....so cool that i wouldn't even consider an aftermarket pan

Yea, the factory deep pan is pretty good...I like some of the aftermarket pans such as the B&M and Hughes, but it appears that clearance would be tight with my y-pipe....

tru-cool 40k should do the job.. no need for a deep pan. instead of the deep pan... get a shift kit+servos . they should beef up the tranny.
