Default trans slipping, or torque management?

I suppose you all read my header thread and how i've got a decent SOTP difference with the TOG's after the computer relearned everything. But now something funny is going on...i can be rolling in second and if i floor it and it downshifts into 1st, its like the tranny surges while pulling through 1st gear.
Almost feels like im lifting on the pedal and getting back into it about 5 or 6 times through 1st gear, it happens pretty quick just off and on like that. Then at the top of 1st before changing into 2nd it feels like TM is taking over and its like im lifting the throttle right before the 1/2 change. I know the latter half is TM but what about the surging/bucking feeling im having, is this an extreme example of TM too or is my tranny about to let loose?
