transmission cooler location????
I am buying a tranny cooler maybe a B&M and I don't know where to install it. My boss said he thought it would block too much air to the already two in there from the factory if I put it in front of the factory set. A 3500 silverado came in the shop the other day and his was in front of the main radiator and condenser but it was spaced about 3-4 inches away from the condeser. Don't I have to mount the new universal cooler straight up to the radiator?
Please help me by telling me where you all installed yours. I know a lot of ya'll have a tranny cooler. Also is hooking up the hoses a bitch? What does that consist of? Just run the two radiators in series? Thanks

Re: transmission cooler location????
I mounted my B&M to the "A" shaped support frame where the stock cooler is mounted. THis is set about 3"s off the other two. B&M send parts to zip-tie it to the radiator, but I think that can cause problems down the line.

Re: transmission cooler location????
i did the same thing as big tex, you can take that cross bracket and turn it over and it makes for a prety flat mounting A shaped surface. then i cut the rubber flexable hose right before the radiator, i ground off the crimp parts that each hose went under and put the cooler hose on those barbed lines.
