Default Transo vs. B&M

Seems that Transgo is the shift kit of choice around here, and I was wondering if anybody has a B&M shift kit. Years back(10-15), I always used B&M shift kits with great results, and since I added "Shift Kit and Servo's" to my wish list, I wanna start planning it out.

This vehicle is my daily driver so I don't need to get whiplash with every shift, just a nice positive shift and something that will allow me to remove torque management. Whaddaya think?

I had a B&M in my last truck (4L60E) and have a Transgo in this one. The main difference is, I had more adjustability in the Transgo. You have more choices in the shift firmness area. The B&M was just one way, or the other - no in between.

What did the B&M shift like? I'm thinking of the heavy duty shift impover kit, since this is my daily driver and I've got a mild setup. Don't need whiplash, just a nice positive shift. I guess that the transgo could be set up that way...
and if in the future I decide to go doin more racin, I can always kick it up a notch.

What kits are people using on their daily drivers as opposed to their racers?

Would a B&M Heavy Duty shift improver kit enable me to remove some torque management?

Sorry to ask so many questions, just thought of a few....
last one: Does anybody have the part numbers for the corvette servos , better accumulator, etc.

Thanks

Billy

The B&M shifted nice, but very hard. The only annoying part about it was even going 10mph through a parking lot, if it shifted, it shifted hard. The Transgo only shifts hard under WOT, or close to it.

Torque mgt is a tuning issue. Your transmission will not like that shift kit with all of the torque mgt left in it.
